Welcome to 2015 and Genesis

Published January 1, 2015 by lynn k scott

“an origin, creation, or beginning” (Dictionary.com)
You may or may not have read that I choose to select a word to represent me throughout the new year.  My word for 2015 is genesis.  I must have selected well, because yesterday on a popular writing site, that I was part of, made an announcement that cemented my decision to have my own blog.  It was obviously the right time and place for this to happen, so this is one of my beginnings in store for me for 2015.
I admit, I am not the most website-oriented writer that ever lived.  Heck, I’m still getting my feet wet in regards to writing on a consistent basis.  Taking the premise of “genesis”, this new blog is like a baby.  I have hopes that by the end of 2015, my “baby” will have grown into a toddler and will continue to grow in stages as we get to know each other.
There will be a multitude of firsts as I learn to navigate my blog.  Seeing as my “baby” was only born a few days ago, I think I’m doing good so far.  I’ve changed and fed this little one and there has already been some growth.  I am excited to see how much she will change in the upcoming year and to see how much I will have learned in the process.
So welcome to the year 2015.  May it be prosperous, comforting and hopefully not too challenging as the next twelve months are sure to pass quickly.
