Fundraising

If you’re following this blog, you should know that I signed up again to walk in the Relay For Life this summer.  Today, I emailed a few friends and asked them just to share my link on their FaceBook pages, so people will have my donation link.

Within 5 minutes, I had a $50 donation from an old acquaintance, who must have seen one of my friend’s posts.  I admit, it got me a little misty-eyed.  This particular relay is taking place very close to the anniversary of my sister’s passing.  While it’s been 2.5 years since she lost her battle, I still haven’t come to terms with losing her.

In my own way, participating in the Relay, is my way to help other families never hear the words, “you have cancer”.  If you are interested in donating or are in the U.S. and would like to share my link, please message me.
