Passed My Goal

Published March 28, 2015 by lynn k scott

In just two and a half short months, I will be participating in my second Relay For Life walk.  Each participant tries to raise at least $100 in donations to help end cancer.

I have started a fundraiser, in collaboration with my tattoo artist.  I am purchasing a $75 gift certificate to his tattoo shop.  Just recently, the owner of the shop is matching my amount and now the prize is a $150 gift certificate.

Yesterday, I stopped by the shop to collect the ticket stubs and money for the raffle tickets that have been sold.  So far, my tattoo artist and I have raised $80.  I have about $45 still to collect from friends and I’m still going strong on my fundraising efforts.

This morning, I added the money we collected to my donation webpage.  Combined with a previous donation, I’ve surpassed by $100 fundraising goal.  I then edited my goal amount to $200 and I’m 65% of the way there.  I am honored and humbled to be a part of something so important.

I will continue my efforts and I am striving to quadruple my original $100 fundraising goal.

As always, if you would like to make a donation to the Relay for Life, please contact me here or at and I will provide you with my fundraising link.  If you’d like to join the walk, please visit Relay For Life, to find a team in your area.
